on{x} and android

Started to use on{X} (pronounced like 'on-ex') this weekend which create small tasks via a website that are then actioned on the phone...

Simple things like "Launch Train Timetable when I reach Paddington Station" and "Remind me everyday to take an umbrella if it's going to rain"

The tasks - or as on{x} call it, recipes are easy enough to copy and paste to suit your needs and there's about 15 recipes on the site to get you going...

If you want to tinker further, then you can delve into the scripts and start automating your phone to suit your life!

Logging into the site is via facebook which proved to be seamless and without any frictionless sharing going on, rules were up and running quickly and I can see myself creating new ones to suit my needs (eg "Text Friend when I'm near their house").

Hopefully more functionality will be added (such as bluetooth control) and as people start creating more recipes, then they'll be more options to customize...

I love my organising apps! I use one called Intuition on my iPhone :) life saver. Its designed for mums but i've been using it for awhile. Perfect for a house wife! Your one looks pretty fancy, I love the idea of all it does - but I'm not sure I would need all those (very cool) features. Nice blog btw ;)

hey - thanks for the comment. Agreed there are some great apps around. I'll check Intuition and if there's an android version. I use Any Do for managing tasks, which has a clean layout and syncs up with google tasks...
