start of the england journey begins in the pub and ends in a cafe...

It's wet, windy and miserable and that means one thing - it's summer in England! This summer is, of course filled with a packed agenda with the jubilee, Euro 2012 Wimbledon and  the Olympics...it really does feel like it's going to be an awesome summer...

The jubilee I can take it or leave it, but the football is another thing all together and last night the "England" journey began against France, who are always a force to be reckoned with even though their performances in recent tournaments have been a bit lacklustre...

I started off in the Cos Bar - a regular place for me when I'm working from the office in Blackfriars. I found a little corner and slowly progressed to go through three pints as the game played out...

There was a bit of banter with the table next to me, but most of the time I was content stand there, trying not to get to stressed and enjoy the game...

Bruce turned up at half-time and we saw in the final whistle with grim satisfaction and decided to watch the Ukraine vs Sweden game in a bar near Paddington...

We had a little explore around considering it was still raining and I frantically tried to share my umbrella (and failed!) and we walked past this cafe where several mens had their heads tunred upwards as if awaiting a miracle - it could only mean one thing. There, inside was a TV and the football was on...

The cafe was warm, bustling and friendly and finding a place like this in London which is not overrun by your standard find anywhere tastes the same places is getting more and more difficult...

Mimo's is definitely a place I want to return to...
